This week's newsletter is a book summary of "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant". I found the book to be a quick read and it provided some valuable insights into business and wealth creation. Here are my top takeaways from the book:

1. Use Your Mind, Not Your Time

• The only way to get rich is by owning a piece of a business. This means that you need to focus on creating value and building assets, rather than trading your time for money.

2. Focus on What Matters

• 99% of the things we do are wasted and won't amount to anything. This is why it's crucial to focus on the things that truly matter and be intentional about how we spend our time.

3. Accountability is Key

• The people who are ready to take on accountability are the ones who are going to succeed. This means that we need to be willing to take responsibility for our actions and be accountable for the results we produce.

4. Value Your Hourly Rate

• The more you can save your hourly rate, the more valuable you become.

5. Embrace the Pain

• True success comes from taking the road less traveled and going with the path that is painful in the short term.

6. Read and Learn

• Reading basic math, evolution, physics, microeconomics, and philosophy can provide strong fundamentals for everything else.

7. Work with People You can See Yourself Working with for Life

• If you can't see yourself working with someone for life, don't work with them for a day.

8. Common Addictions are not Diseases

• When everyone is sick, no one considers it a disease. For example, people spend 5 hours a day looking at their phones, and yet it is not considered an addiction.

9. Anger is a Lose of Control

• getting angry is its own punishment.

10. A Taste of Freedom Will Make You Unemployable

• Once you get a taste of freedom, you will never want to go back to being dependent on someone else's schedule and work.
