Last week I had to book a ticket on a bus to travel from Bangalore to Kochi, and since I love Redbus, I don’t go anywhere else, I opened the app and went ahead to book. On the checkout page, I saw a brilliant "upsell" or can also call it a good brand collab.
Under the title "additional services", they had slots for special offers from other apps, and especially the one that was placed was an ad for an OTT platform and the offer here was that I could pay for the OTT platform for using it for just two days
I thought this was brilliant since I personally don’t pay for many ott platforms since I don’t usually watch it while at home, but when I am traveling, I tend to feel like I could have one.
This integration was the answer for me as I could just buy it for two days while I was traveling. I loved the thought process behind it, and as a marketer - I approve of it!
