Checklist for increasing ecommerce conversion rates
Don't let your conversion rates become the bottleneck for your sales revenue
Hey everyone! This week it’s not a story from my side - but a value-packed 7 simple pointers for anyone who is selling online which will help in increasing the conversion rates. I learned it the hard way by working with more than 20 e-commerce clients in my agency. Here it goes:
1) Reviews: Focus on getting more reviews. You can incentivise people to do it. (An email to all customers saying that they will get Rs.100 worth of amazon gift cards if they give you a rating)
2) Faces of customers: Get pictures of real humans holding your product. People trust the product more when there are other people holding the product in real life
3) Videos: Images confuse people about the real quality, colour and size of your products. Have at least one explanatory/unboxing video for all of your product pages
4) Trust badges: Add badges like the 10-day return option, COD, free shipping and badges of payment methods like Gpay, Visa etc…
5) Create urgency: Always have some kind of offer that ends at a particular day/time so that people can't think "meh I'll buy this later". Udemy does this great.
6) Run whitelisted ads: Use influencer ad accounts to run ads, increases the CTR and due to the trust factor it can also increase the conversion rate
7) Create a follow-up funnel: You can send one email and think people who didn't buy will convert. You need at least 3-4 emails as a follow-up.
