Dall-E 3 Might be the tool that could eliminate a lot of design jobs
If you have used Midjourney, you know it is damn good. Pretty much any sort of visuals or illustrations or any sort of pictures you want, you can get if you use the right prompts. I even launched an AI prompt marketplace called Promptrr.io to create a platform for prompt discovery and sales.
The only disadvantage I, as a marketer felt was that Midjourney could not give me an image with text in it. If you try to do that, you will receive a weird image with weird-looking text placed in it which might not even make sense/will not be even readable. It is because Midjourney is an image-processing model and not a text-processing one.
You know, as a marketer - if you can’t add text in an image - it’s a total letdown. Hence I was in search of an alternative - I found the same with Microsoft design, which is like Canva but we can generate designs with text if you give the right prompt. But for me, it did not work for some reason.
This week I saw that Sam Altman (OpenAI’s CEO) announced DAll-E 3. I was not a huge fan of earlier versions of Dall-E when you compare it with Midjourney’s output. But in this new version, they have integrated it with ChatGPT and you can actually generate an image you want in a conversational style.
Have a look:
The best part is that if you ask it to create a meme or a conversation with text in it, it combines the power of ChatGPT and Dall-E to give an image with proper text in it.
This is an example:
The text is clear and the entire thing feels absolutely like a comic. The current Midjourney version cannot do it. The fight is getting pretty intense. This is absolutely going to reduce the number of design jobs.
