How HungerStation turned Instagram cravings into +17% orders
What happened
HungerStation (Saudi Arabia) made it ridiculously easy to act on food cravings you discover on Instagram. See a reel or post of food you want to try? Forward that post to HungerStation’s Instagram DM. Their system scans the image, identifies the dish, finds a nearby restaurant listed on the app, and sends the user straight to order. It turned casual social browsing into immediate commerce.
How it worked (3 steps)
Send the post. User DMs a food post to HungerStation’s Instagram.
We identify the dish. AI scans the image (even if there’s no caption or it’s in another language).
Order in seconds. The user gets a link to a nearby restaurant that sells that dish — instant conversion.
Why this is smart
It meets users inside their habit: people discover food on social, but discovery rarely converts. HungerStation removed the friction between “I want this” and “where do I buy it?”
It’s product-led marketing: the feature is useful first, promotional second. That makes it shareable and highly native to Instagram.
It broadens choice: users try beyond the usual (burgers/rolls) because discovery becomes actionable
