I Tried out this experiment - Turned out it's getting us a good amount of Instagram followers
Simple, yet effective
I have made a very similar video on how I got some new Twitter followers in autopilot, [Watch it here]
We just replicated almost the same thing for our Agency’s Instagram account.
This newsletter is gonna be a bit technical for someone who doesn’t know Facebook ads.
Here’s the result that we got:
yes, it was kinda raining followers :)
And all of them comes under target audiences, no bots and only real accounts!
How did we do it?
Simple, the thought process behind it was to showcase our profile as the place where a lot of educational & entertaining marketing related content comes up and to back it up we needed to tell our credentials too - our years of experience in marketing.
Any marketer who reads it will feel FOMO & most probably end up following our account.
Using Facebook ads we targeted people with marketing-related interests and limited the ad placement to just “Instagram Stories“
This was the creative that was used:
As you can see, we are talking about our credentials, we clearly are stating our value proposition (Daily content on Marketing) and there is a clear CTA - “Follow to stay updated“
In addition to that, we are sure that anyone who visits our profile is going to end up following because of the type of content we have in the account :)
You might say “why to focus so much on the numbers, it doesn’t matter anyway”
It actually matters if it’s good quality and if those who are following you knows your story.
Then you are building a threshold audience to which you can launch your content pieces, and given that it’s good enough, it can spark reshares, which will start the virality loop.
