So, I was out shopping recently and stumbled upon something pretty impressive by Yousta (owned by Reliance) that I think could change the way we shop in stores. You know how it goes in most fast fashion outlets—after picking out everything you need, you’re often faced with a long, winding queue at checkout. It’s not exactly the best way to end a shopping spree, right?
Well, Yousta came up with a small but brilliant solution that might just make this frustration a thing of the past. Here’s how it works: at the end of your shopping, instead of joining the queue, you can simply scan a QR code displayed in the store. Once you scan it, you’re directed to a landing page that prompts you to scan the barcodes of the items in your cart. After that, you just pay through the app, and boom—you’re done! No waiting, no queues, no hassle.
What’s great about this approach is that it offers the convenience of self-checkout without needing any extra hardware in the store. All you need is your smartphone, and the entire checkout process is right in your hands. It’s a fantastic example of using mobile technology to make the in-store experience quicker and more convenient.
For me, this is a glimpse into the future of retail, where the boundaries between online and offline shopping are getting blurrier. It’s all about making the customer journey as seamless as possible, and Yousta has hit the nail on the head with this one.
