How a simple ad on Spotify got me excited for DJ Snake's tour
I just had a really cool experience that made me think about the effectiveness of marketing. It all started when I drove around on Sunday and had Spotify on. Suddenly, an ad came on featuring DJ Snake and I was like, "Whoa, what's this?" He was saying that he was going on tour in India this New Year and I was already pumped. But then he dropped the best marketing trick I've seen in a while - he said to click on the banner to listen to a playlist of all the songs he will perform at the concerts. Like, how thoughtful is that? Now I can preview all the songs and be fully prepared for the concert.
Normally, when I'm thinking about going to a concert, I go to YouTube and listen to all the artist's famous songs. But this time, DJ Snake's team made it so easy for the audience. I haven't even gone to the concert yet and I'm already feeling excited about it.
This experience made me realize how important it is to have a well-executed marketing campaign. Kudos to DJ Snake's team for coming up with such a clever idea, and for using Spotify ads so effectively. I can't wait to see how the concert turns out.
