This is how I tripled my webinar attendee count
One of the simplest and most effective data-backed methods for making key business decisions is through gathering opinions, and the best tool for that? Polls. Specifically, if you’re looking for insights from fellow entrepreneurs or professionals, LinkedIn polls are your go-to resource. Let me share an example from my own experience.
We were running a free webinar campaign for our digital marketing academy's pre-admission session, initially titled "Free Session in Digital Marketing." While we were seeing some registrations, the number of actual attendees was dismal, around five per session. I suspected the topic might be the issue, so I decided to test this theory. I brainstormed four engaging topics and created a LinkedIn poll to see which one resonated the most.
The results were clear. The topic "AI in Digital Marketing" was the outright winner. I quickly updated our promotional materials to highlight this new topic, and the results were immediate and impressive. Our cost per lead was cut in half, and our average attendance tripled, jumping to about 15 attendees per webinar.
This simple switch, informed by direct feedback from potential attendees via a LinkedIn poll, significantly boosted our engagement. It's a powerful reminder of how useful social media tools can be for making strategic decisions.
