This logo can tell the entire plot of a movie?
You know, in the nearly four years of sharing thoughts in this newsletter, I've never once dived into the world of logo design. Yet, here we are, because something truly caught my eye. Being a Kerala native, I have a soft spot for our local cinema. This week, there's a buzz about "Goat Life," a movie based on a highly anticipated book. It tells the harrowing tale of Najeeb's survival in a desert in the Middle East for over three years. It's gripping, to say the least.
But let's talk about the logo. Ever since it first popped up, I've been scratching my head, trying to figure out if there's more to it than meets the eye. And then, just like that, I stumbled upon a reel where Prithviraj, the lead actor, breaks it down.
Take a closer look at the logo's font: the letters thin out from right to left. It's a subtle nod to Najeeb's physical transformation, enduring the harsh desert with minimal sustenance. And just like that, I was floored. A logo, so simple, yet it unravels the depth of a story that fills pages. Isn't that something?
