Recently, I came across a jackfruit-based product that claims to help control sugar levels when taken with meals. Intrigued by its potential benefits, I researched the product and found that it has scientific backing and a lot of loyal users. Since my mother has diabetes, I recommended it to her, and she loved it. She even asked me to reorder it when the first pack finished.
However, during a random conversation, I mentioned to her that the product had been acquired by a large FMCG company (let's call them the "Giant Corp"). To my surprise, my mother hesitated and said that she wasn't sure if she wanted to reorder the product. When I asked her why, she said that she had heard that Giant Corp was known for putting adulteration in their products. This conversation was a reconfirmation for me on how important reputation is for anyone or any organization, once it's gone, not even money can buy it back.
This incident taught me the importance of building and maintaining a good reputation for any business or brand. Even if a product or service is great, if the reputation of the company behind it is not good, it can harm its sales and customer trust. Therefore, as business owners, we should always strive to provide quality products/services while maintaining an excellent reputation.
