(This is an extended version of a post I did on Linkedin)
Chatgpt launched a new feature the last day - you can create your own GPTs
Basically, you can upload whatever data you have with you for a particular use case and GPT will store it and get you answers from those data without you having to interpret the data every time.
Here’s an explanatory kinda video about the same:
For example, if you are running a retail supermarket and you have a proper billing system/CRM that has been collecting customer data for a while;
Now if you upload the CRM doc to a custom GPT you are building on Chatgpt, you can just ask questions to the GPT like - “How many soap bars should I buy and keep in the store for December” - you are most likely to get a number from GPT after it processing your previous years sales data.
And what’s even better is that you can publish the GPT in chatgpt’s app store and can give access to the public/your team!
I asked ChatGPT itself to come up with many more use cases for custom GPTs and here’s what I got:
Healthcare Sector: Imagine a hospital that has accumulated vast patient records and medical research data. By uploading this data to a custom GPT, healthcare professionals could ask complex questions like, “What are the common side effects of a specific drug in patients aged 60-70 with diabetes?” This would allow for quick, data-driven decisions in patient care.
Educational Institutions: A university could upload its extensive academic research and publication archives. Educators and students could then query the GPT with questions like, “What are the recent advancements in renewable energy technology?” This could significantly enhance research efficiency and learning experiences.
Financial Services: A financial firm might use this feature to analyze market trends and investment data. By asking, “What are the emerging investment trends in the technology sector over the last five years?” the GPT could provide insights that assist in making informed investment decisions.
Real Estate Industry: Real estate agencies could upload property transaction histories and market analysis reports. Agents could then query, “What is the average selling price of two-bedroom apartments in downtown Manhattan in the last quarter?” to quickly access vital market insights for client consultations.
Hospitality and Travel: A travel agency could upload customer reviews and travel data. Questions like, “What are the top-rated family-friendly destinations in Europe according to our customer feedback?” would enable personalized and data-driven travel recommendations.
Manufacturing and Supply Chain: A manufacturing company could upload its supply chain data to optimize operations. Queries like, “What is the lead time for raw material X from supplier Y, and how does it impact our production schedule?” could streamline the supply chain process.
Gpts are craaaazy.
BTW, You missed numbering on first point (healthcare sector)
