From Cold to Hot Prospect: How organic Social Media Content will get you clients (Real Story)

Many marketers have come to me and questioned the importance of an organic content strategy. Especially when you get enough and more traffic and leads from paid campaigns, new digital marketers doubt the relevance of spending too much time trying to refine an organic strategy.

But for me, at least for the agency business that I’m running (B2B) - what I have seen is that it’s way easier to close an inbound lead. They already know you, and they mostly are confident to sign with you even before you get into the meeting.

But when it comes to outbound or paid lead generation, you need to do a hell lotta convincing. When I’m writing this, we are talking with an outbound lead and it’s been more than 7 meetings and still, we have not signed up.

Coming back to the point, this is how organic social media content is going to help you get clients: Initially, they follow you seeing a piece of your content, or they follow you by recommendation. At that time, they are just curious - a cold audience/customer.

After that - given that you are putting up consistent content - they begin to follow your journey and start building trust in you. Then slowly they get converted to warm from cold.
