How this small tribal brand is taking on Giant FMCG national brands
So, picture this: I'm on Amazon, casually scrolling through hair oils because I thought, why not try something new? And you know what caught my eye? It wasn't just the number of reviews or the average rating; it was the packaging!
And here it is, this packaging featuring a guy with a beard and long, luscious hair. Now, you might think, "What's the big deal?" But wait, this is what we call a "purple cow" moment. It's like playing a totally different game and breaking stereotypes.
This packaging doesn't just say, "Hey, here's some hair oil." It shouts, "Hey, guys, even you can have that long, silky hair you've been dreaming of!" It's a bit of a stunt, but it sure doesn't blend in with the crowd as just "another hair oil."
The funny thing, though, I didn't end up buying it. But you know what? It's a story worth sharing because it proves that even small mom-and-pop-sized businesses can take on giant multinational MNCs that churn out FMCG products by the millions.
